What Size Container for a Job Site
Most job sites take a 20'x8'. It holds four to five rooms' worth of material and gives a crew room to stack lumber, fixtures, and tooling without burying the thing they need on Monday.
A 16'x8' works for tenant improvements, single-room remodels, and phased work where only part of the site is active. It's our most-requested size.
The 8'x8' is the one people forget about. It's equivalent to a 5'x10' storage unit or a 10-foot rental truck, and it's useful as a dedicated tool box on a site that already has material storage elsewhere. Contractors sometimes run an 8'x8' for hand tools and a 20'x8' for materials, so the expensive, portable, easy-to-walk-off items live behind their own lock.

Keeping a Container on a Job Site
A container needs a reasonably flat spot roughly 30 feet long for a 20-footer, with clearance above for the delivery truck. Compacted dirt, gravel, asphalt, and concrete all work. Soft or saturated ground is the one real problem, which matters here in January and February more than people expect.
Our delivery system sets the container down flat instead of tilting it, so nothing inside shifts on the way down and the unit sits level even on ground that isn't. On a job site that means you can load shelving and stacked material without it all migrating to one end.
As phases change, the container can move with them. Sites reconfigure, staging areas relocate, and the spot that worked during framing is often in the way by the time finishes go in. We'll reposition it on the same site or move it to a different address entirely.
If you need material off-site instead, we can store your container at one of our secure MI-BOX locations and bring it back when the schedule calls for it.
One thing to sort out early: if the container needs to sit on a public street rather than on the property, that's a right-of-way question for the city or the HOA, not something we can permit on your behalf. Worth checking before delivery day

Solid steel construction, pry-resistant hinges, and a heavy-duty locking system. It's built to slow down the tools that open a standard job box in under a minute. Nothing is unbreachable, but a MI-BOX is a materially harder target than an open structure or a trailer.
