Does MI-BOX deliver to Coronado and the Coronado Cays?

Yes. We deliver portable storage containers throughout Coronado, including the Village, the Cays, and the Silver Strand corridor.

I'm PCSing to or from North Island. How does MI-BOX work with military timelines?

Load the container on your schedule before your report or detach date, have it stored at our secure facility for as long as needed, and we deliver it once your housing is set. Month-to-month terms mean a delayed housing assignment doesn't cost you a second move.

Can I put a container at a base housing address in Coronado?

Placement on base or in privatized military housing depends on the housing office's rules for temporary structures. Many families place the container at an off-base address or use our facility storage option instead.

What areas near Coronado does MI-BOX serve?

We deliver to Imperial Beach, downtown San Diego, Point Loma, Chula Vista, National City, and throughout San Diego County.

Coronado Portable Storage Containers

Coronado is an island in practice as much as in name: one bridge, one strand, and a housing market shaped by Naval Air Station North Island and the Amphibious Base. Households turn over on Navy orders, historic homes off Orange Avenue get careful renovations, and there is never quite enough garage. MI-BOX delivers a portable storage container over the bridge to your driveway, sets it level, and leaves it for as long as your orders or your contractor require.

We serve all of Coronado, from the Village streets to the Cays, with a schedule that respects how tight island logistics can be.

PCS moves without the drama. Load the container before your report date, we store it at our secure Poway facility, and it's delivered the day housing comes through. Our PCS and deployment storage for Navy families page walks through how North Island and Naval Base San Diego families use it at every stage of orders, from the first PPM paperwork to the final pickup.

Fewer trips over the bridge. A rental truck means at least two round trips through Coronado Bridge traffic, and usually a third when something doesn't fit. A container means none. It's loaded in your driveway and leaves once.

Gentle on historic homes. Coronado's older houses have narrow side yards and landscaping worth protecting. Our Level-Lift system sets the container precisely where we agree, with no dragging and no tilt, so the brick walkway and the bougainvillea stay exactly as they were.

Military relocation is the defining storage need on the island. Whether you're arriving at North Island and waiting on base housing, deploying and downsizing, or leaving for a new duty station and staging your household goods, a MI-BOX container lets you handle it on your timeline rather than the movers'.

Renovations are the other constant. Coronado's historic housing stock gets restored, not replaced, and a container on-site protects furniture and keeps the crew's floors clear for the months that kind of work takes. See our renovation storage page for the setup, and the container size guide to match the box to the house.

The Hotel del Coronado has anchored the beachfront since 1888, and the beach in front of it lands on national top-ten lists almost every year. Orange Avenue keeps the Village feeling like a small town in spite of the tourists, and the Ferry Landing gives you the best view of the downtown skyline anywhere in the county.

It's also a Navy town through and through, and we've delivered to enough North Island families to know the rhythm: orders arrive, dates move, housing comes through late. We build our Coronado deliveries around that reality.
