Does MI-BOX work with Navy families in Imperial Beach?

Yes. Load the container before your report or detach date, have it stored at our secure facility as long as needed, and we deliver it once your housing is set. Month-to-month terms keep a delayed housing assignment from costing you a second move.

Can I place a container at a base housing address?

That depends on the housing office's rules for temporary structures. Many families place the container at an off-base address or use our facility storage option instead. Tell us your situation and we'll suggest the simplest path.

Do I need a permit for a storage container in Imperial Beach?

A container on your own private driveway generally doesn't need a permit. Street placement may require approval from the City of Imperial Beach. Share your address and we'll help you check before delivery.

What areas near Imperial Beach does MI-BOX serve?

We deliver to Coronado, Chula Vista, National City, Bonita, San Ysidro, and the rest of San Diego County.

Imperial Beach Portable Storage Containers

Imperial Beach sits at the far southwest corner of the continental United States, between the Tijuana River Estuary and the Silver Strand. It's a beach town that's also home to plenty of Navy families stationed at Naval Base Coronado and the helicopter field on the north side of town, so moves often follow orders. MI-BOX delivers a portable storage container to your driveway, sets it level with our LevelLift system, and keeps it as long as you need it.

We deliver throughout IB, from Seacoast Drive and the pier to the neighborhoods along Palm Avenue and Imperial Beach Boulevard.

Built for PCS timelines. Load the container before your report or detach date, we store it at our secure Poway facility, and we deliver it when housing comes through. Our military storage page covers how Navy families use it.

Salt air, sealed box. Containers are weather-resistant and lockable, so your belongings stay protected a few blocks from the ocean.

A short move, one load. Moving from IB to Chula Vista or across the bay? Load once in your driveway and we deliver the container to the new address. No rental truck on the Strand.

Military moves and deployments shape a lot of storage needs in IB. A container lets you stage household goods on your own schedule, store them while you wait on housing, and receive them in one delivery. Month-to-month terms mean a delayed assignment doesn't cost you a second move.

Remodels are the other big need, especially in the older homes near the beach. A container in the driveway keeps furniture safe while the crew works. See our renovation storage page and container sizes, or learn more about portable storage containers in San Diego.

Imperial Beach calls itself the most southwesterly city in the continental United States, and it feels like the edge of the map in the best way. The Imperial Beach Pier anchors Seacoast Drive, and Pier Plaza next to it hosts the town's summer events. To the south, the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve protects one of the largest remaining coastal wetlands in Southern California, with trails and birdwatching a few minutes from downtown.

It's a close-knit town with a strong Navy presence, and our drivers know the routine: orders arrive, dates shift, and the container needs to be ready when the family is.
